Important Announcement for
Convention and Hotel Venue Change of ECOSUMMIT2007

Thank you for your participation in EcoSummit 2007. So far, the preparation of EcoSummit 2007 is going well. We have received more than 1,000 abstracts and posters submissions worldwide. Due to the size of this event, the Organization Committee decided to relocate the venue from originally planned Beijing International Conventional Convention (BICC) to Jiuhua Resort & Convention Center (JRCC, Four Star hotel and convention center) (www.jiuhua.com.cn/enindex.asp).  The main reasons are:

a). the previous environment is not satisfied to our conference due to the on-going intensively construction for Olympic Game 2008 around BICC, and the traffic is difficult for our participants to access to nearby hotels where some participants will be living in;

b). there are no enough session rooms at BICC to meet the requirements of this Summit; and

c). as many participants asking for economical accommodation, the Organization Committee recommend hotels in Jiuhua Resort & Convention Center, which has different variety of hotel rooms from high to economical standards with lower price and higher quality suitable for all participants having different requirements.

The Jiuhua Center, with better circumstance for delegates, costs same driving time from/to airport as that of BICC, but a little far away from the city center. The Organization Committee will provide commuter shuttle buses between Jiuhua Center and the city center and arrange various social activities in the city every evening.

Since all previous provided hotels located 22 km away from JRCC, all hotels will be changed accordingly. All participants are strongly recommended to book their hotel at JRCC with lower price and higher quality accommodation.

We apologize for this change and inconvenience. We will contact people who have booked their accommodation for their new requirements and provide them satisfied room booking. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

The Organization Committee highly encourages participants who have not registered to register and book accommodations online as early as possible, via www.ecosummit2007.elsevier.com/registration.htm. This will ensure you a suitable room under the first come first service principle.

The hotel deposit fee will be charged in Chinese currency (RMB Yuan) according to the rate on the day your registration is confirmed.
