Venue

Eco Summit 2007 will be held in Beijing Jiuhua Resort & Convention Center (JRCC).

Working Language

The working language of the Conference is English.

Weather

May in Beijing is sunny and warm. The average daily temperature is 16°C, with its highest at around 20°C and lowest at 12°C.

Insurance

The registration fees do not include insurance for the participants regarding accidents, sickness or loss of personal property. You are advised to make necessary arrangements for a short-term health and accident insurance before leaving your home country.

Currency Exchange

In China, only RMB is used. Exchange centers can be found at airports, hotels and tourist shopping centers. The rate of exchange is set by the Bank of China, which is now about US$ 1.00 = RMB 7.90. When exchanging money, you should keep your receipt in case you want to change any RMB back to foreign currency when leaving China.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, and other credit cards are accepted in many department stores and hotels. It is possible to draw cash from ATM machines using the appropriate cards.

The Bank of China and most of the hotels can cash traveller cheques issued by any foreign bank or financial institution. You need to show your passport and pay a 0.75 percent commission.

Traffic to JRCC

1. Pickup Service at Beijing Capital International Airport

A tourist agency will provide pickup service at the Beijing Capital International Airport during 08:00~20:00 21st and 22nd May for all the participants. An info desk of EcoSummit 2007 will also be set up at the exit of terminals. The cost fee from airport to Jiuhua Resort and Convention Center (JRCC) is USD 8.00 dollars per person OR EURO 6.00 per person. Invoice is available upon request.
Otherwise, participants can take taxi to JRCC, payment according to the taxi mileage meter.

21st May, 09:00 ~ 20:00, every two hours
22nd May, 09:00 ~ 20:00, every hour

2. Go to JRCC by yourself

JRCC is located in a distance of 35km to the airport; the taxi price is around CNY 100 yuan (about USD 13). Payment is according to the mileage meter. Remember to ask for invoice from taxi driver in case any following up issues.
